Opiuo and Austero have teamed up to create the new duo called Sun:monx. Their debut album titled Power Salad was released just last week. Both artists bring their own touch to the group. Opiuo provides heavy yet soothing bass lines that are a lot calmer than most of his other tracks we have seen. I wrote a review on Opiuo’s recent trilogy of EP’s titled Butternut Slap a few weeks back, check it out here if you haven’t seen it already.
Power Salad is a much more relaxing and groove filled album that just about anyone can love even if you’re not into electronic music. Austero provides some extremely good guitar riffs and both artists seem to have styles that match perfectly. Every song seems to take you on a journey with Opiuo’s bass lines providing the groove and Austero’s guitar making each song unique in its own way.
