Well this might be the best news I’ve seen all week! Boys Noize and Skrillex have come together to create Dog Blood, 300% break-acid-tech-noise. They will be releasing the two track The Next Order EP on August 13th on OWSLA and BNR. Based on the short teaser of the title track, released on YouTube yesterday, I am already in love with this idea. Both artists bring so much experience and style to the table that are very different yet seem like such a natural match. This will happen just before Boys Noize is set to release a new album in October, and a Live U.S. tour, so it should be interesting to see how much of his work with Skrillex will effect his solo creations. This could be even more true for Skrillex, who seems to be continually working and playing with different artists and styles. I can’t wait to see where Dog Blood goes and the EP later this month.
