In the last few months, Las Vegas native Nick Terranova has proven to be one of the most musically compelling newcomers that the recent dance music scene has to offer. Better known as Starkillers, Terranova is one of few producers that helped craft the original Pressure, a track that (after a massive Alesso remix) became one of the top songs of 2011. Since then Starkillers has produced and released nothing but golden, cutting-edge dance tunes that will be rocketing up the charts before you know it. Bringing a heartwarming, energetic sound like nothing we've heard before, each song possesses a set of immensely stimulating vocals while a tough, edgy, underground bass viciously rips through progressions—a formula perfect for the massive house bangers he's been dropping lately. Priding himself in his style and more importantly, his originality, Terranova settles for nothing less than pure creative integrity:
“I really try not to sound like anyone else or copy anyone,” he says. “What’s the point in being in this biz if all you're gonna do is try and sound like someone else? I do what I think is cool and don’t really care what people think. You’re either a fan or you’re not.”
With a fearless attitude hailing through the underground scene from which he came, we expect Starkillers to be one of the largest upcoming names of the next year, and that's nothing short of spectacular.
